Hello everyone, Thanks for all the emails and phone messages you all sent on my BIG B-DAY. I finally made the magic number. I feel great and is looking forward to even greater wisdon, enjoyment and good living in this new decade. well, the news is, this is when life begins so I' m excited and welcome the challenge. I know I'm not as prompt when it comes to keeping up wtih the Birthdays but you all are always on my mind and I pray that all your hearts desires will be granted. for those of us who are in this new decade and are going to be joining this year, welcome to the club. it's been two days since I made it, and I'm loving it. for those who still have a year or two, take heart, you all will get there.(smile) I really appreciate all of you and continue to be proud of how it all turned out so far. There is so much more living and loving we still have to do, therefore, the best is yet to come. | We came (pregnant, with new-born babies, from far-away States & Countries, with our children,emergency-oriented situation, not knowing what 2 expect, leaving our families & luv-ones far behind, some of us not 2 well) But we saw and oh did we conquer. 8 was a sacrifice that paid off something far more than what we could have ever expected or imagined. 8 was success beyond the full sense of the word, the jokes, laughter, unforgotten stories, I think we have been able to capture all that we missed the past 20 years. For those who for one reason or the other could not make it, we had you in mind at all time, though attempts to bring the next Re-union to our beloved Monrovia failed to win the required votes! we will still make another attempt all the same. The coming together after 20 solid years was a success, I pray and hope that we transform that success into progress by sticking together, all roads lead to North-Carolina come next year. And remember it is a WE thing. | |||

| What a sacrifice Kamah, believe me I fully understand what you are to go through after all this, For going against your commitment and promises to someone especially regarding a wedding has a very big price tag to it. So we must all help you in containing that situation, and also attempt in providing ways to reduce the hurt, dissappointment and resentment that may result from that decision. I can think of no better way but to fully explain to your friends the excitement and joy you have been feeling the last six months or so for having been reconnected to your classmates after 20 solid years, and that if you as well as us all do not make this one happen, the chances of it ever happening again in the future will be very thin and probably not possible. So beg them for their 4giveness and then understanding, and 8 is always better 2 let them know the soonest, and go through the pain with them as a true friend, and knowing very well that they deserve your friendship as they yours! they will fully understand. | Thank Randall and everybody else for the compliments. I am ecstatic about this site as well as everybody else. I am sure it's going to be nicer. Bigger and better things are about to happen. We just need to stick together. As for the date of the reunion, I believe it's been settled. A few persons had a lil inconvenience, and it's not unusual. There can be no perfect date. Thanks to Kamah et al for sacrificing other important events to be at the reunion. Nothing more could have exemplified your true Spartan sprit. We must all exert the efforts to make our fellow classmates (both living and dead) proud of us. We have an obligation to do just that; nothing less. For your information, I spoke with Edvida today. She's not in the best of health, but she was able to gain the strength to go to a local internet cafe and check out the website. She expressed her gratitude to all of us for the achievements we have made in coming together. Let us all recommit ourselves to the realization of the project. It's our biggest project so far, and the successes of other future projects rely on this. Finally, I'd like to admonish those classmates who have not registered on the website to please do so. | My annual leave commences on the 25th of July until the 17th of August. I arrive in Philly on the 25th, However I have a wedding in Minnesota on the 4th of August, that I committed to sing for since last year October. I intend to stay 5 days in Philly and then move on to Mn. I take God to beg us all, if we do not honor this date, it will be very difficult to have every one again making commitments to another date. Friends, sisters and brothers, I have built my entire annual leave on and around this Re-Union, the only annual leave without my family. We will try to arrange taking you guys back and or forth to your Wedding obliations, the first time to anything always has the most challenges. May God bless us and help us all in this difficult time of choices and obligations, We will cross this bridge.. | |||
